Event Details

Join the Cascadia Prosperity Forum for an enlightening discussion with music industry maverick Terry McBride, CEO of Nettwerk Musical Group.

Canada's leading privately owned record label and artist management company, Nettwerk is at the centre of a movement to reinvent the music industry as we know it. Bucking the major music industry players, McBride has taken a stand against his peers, defending music lovers' right to download their music. Nettwerk’s philosophy aims to give artists control over their own intellectual property and fans access to the music they crave, for a new paradigm of copyright management. The company was one of the first major music companies to abolish digital rights management to release songs in unrestricted MP3 format.

Join us for a rare discussion with local business maverick Terry McBride, one of the brightest minds in the music business. He was one of the architects of the breakthrough concert tour concept, "Lilith Fair,” an all-female headline traveling concert tour which radically changed business. Responsible for managing some of Canada's biggest artists like Sarah McLachlan, Avril Lavigne, Barenaked Ladies, Nettwerk’s global presence includes offices in New York, Los Angeles, London; and Vancouver.
